A woodland edge in Surrey

The brief

Three acres of neglected paddock meeting old oak. The clients wanted a garden that felt as if it had always been there — and that a small team could keep.

The approach

We thinned, not cleared. Mown rides through meadow, a kitchen garden near the house, and a woodland understorey of fern, hellebore and native bulb. No irrigation beyond establishment.

The outcome

A landscape that improves each year. Care is seasonal, not weekly — the Club’s Grounds plan.
