ASHRIDGE
A composed outdoor room — stone, timber and planting in quiet balance

Services

Design. Build. Plant. Keep.

Four words, one studio. We do not hand a drawing to a builder we have never met, and we do not vanish when the last invoice on the build is paid.

01

Design

A garden that belongs to the house, the soil and the way you live.

We begin with a survey, a conversation and a season. Drawings follow — not as decoration, but as a way to decide. Planting plans, levels, materials, light. Domestic and small commercial, from a six-metre courtyard to a few acres of woodland edge.

02

Build

Stone, timber, water and soil, set true and built to last.

We build what we draw. York stone, limestone, brick, oak. Levels that hold, drainage that works, lighting that is felt rather than seen. A single team from first peg to last plant, so the garden is one thought, not a sequence of trades.

Close planting — texture, leaf and seasonal colour

03

Planting

Structure first, then a long season of leaf, flower and scent.

We plant for the place: soil, aspect, rain. Mixed borders, kitchen gardens, native edges, courtyard troughs. The aim is a garden that looks composed in January and abundant in June — and that a good gardener can keep.

A productive, well-kept garden in active care

04

Maintenance

The missed trick. A garden is a relationship, not a handover.

Most landscape firms vanish after practical completion. We stay. The Garden Care Club is a monthly retainer: the same gardeners, a seasonal plan, and a garden that improves rather than declines. This is where the work — and the business — actually lives.

Garden Care Club plans

A build is a chapter. The Club is the book.

Most firms are set up to win the project and lose the garden. Maintenance is not a junior add-on — it is how the planting we specified is allowed to become itself.
